1. What is the limit of Klaus’s power?
Among the brothers Hargreeves, Klaus / Number 4 (Robert Sheehan) possesses a super special ability to talk to the dead. This ability at first glance seems useless in real combat and makes him hurt mentally. However, the end of Klaus’s power became more and more popular.
In the state of “criticism”, he can go to heaven and talk to … God in the form of a little girl or see his late adoptive father. Even Klaus can borrow power from the soul of Ben / No 6 (Justin H. Min) – the dead member of the group – to attack the enemy. But this is probably still not limited to the power of this “addicted” superhero. Is Klaus not only talking but also reviving the dead?
2. Did the Hargreeves brothers turn back time?
Finally, the cause of the end of the world is also revealed to be Vanya / Number 7 (Ellen Page). The youngest sister of The Umbrella Academy possesses the power of the sound wave, but is hidden by Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore) for fear of endangering everyone. In the end, the girl burst into strength after a long time of being looked down upon by the brothers and causing the moon to break and hit the earth.
No other way, Five / Number 5 (Aidan Gallagher) suggests they turn back time to “fix” Vanya and stop the apocalypse. Just before all were burned, the 7 Hargreeves brothers returned to the bodies of the children. It seems that “going back in time” that the Five suggestions really worked.
3. What is the Commission’s scheme?
Commission is a villain in the film with the ability to send assassins time travel to ensure disaster events take place on schedule. In it, the end of Vanya is also a “must happen”. After years of being stuck at the post-apocalyptic moment, Five was invited by The Handler (Kate Walsh) to become an assassin for the Commission. According to her, this is not the end of all.
So what is the Commission’s true conspiracy? Where is this organization in the timeline when the whole world will be destroyed? Even The Handler himself claimed to be just a gear in the giant machine. So how big is the Commission’s power?
4. Where did Hazel and Agnes go?
Hazel (Cameron Britton) is one of Commission’s top assassins dispatched to assassinate Five. However, he fell in love with the owner of the bakery Agnes (Sheila McCarthy) and no longer wanted to live the killing life. At the end of the film, Hazel kills The Handler and uses a suitcase to travel with Agnes just before the end of the world. So where did they go to escape the Commission when it could travel all the time and place?
5. Do other superpowers appear?
The Umbrella Academy begins with 43 women suddenly giving birth on the same day even though they weren’t pregnant before. Reginald Hargreeves went around the world and adopted seven of them to create an academy. The film does not exploit this detail in the original comic, the children are the rebirth of the messiah.
So what happened to the other 36 babies? Are there many similar cases but not recorded? Hopefully part 2 will have more superheroes appear to join or become enemies of the Hargreeves brothers.
6. Who is Reginald Hargreeves?
In an episode, Reginald Hargreeves is revealed to be an alien from a place with outstanding development techniques. He came to Earth to create The Umbrella Academy or even create a robot to make the mother of the children. However, the reason this character chose the earth is still not revealed. Why did Reginald Hargreeves know the end of the world or the birth of 43 saving children? What is your planet and why leave your homeland? These are questions that part 2 of the series will give the audience an appropriate answer.
The Umbrella Academy is currently streaming on Netflix
